Preparation
All surfaces should be clean, dry and sound ensure to thoroughly sweep the floor to remove any debris.
- Concrete surfaces including power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be abraded to create a key. Either sand the surface or use to prepare the surface.
- For best results new concrete must be allowed to cure for 3 months.
- Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate.
- Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased, and sanded to create a key.
- Remove all loose and flaking material to leave a smooth surface.
- Treat any knots or staining with an appropriate stain blocker to avoid discolouration.
Application
Always provide adequate ventilation during application and drying, especially in interior projects.
- We recommend performing a test on a small area prior to application.
- Mix well before use, and apply using a brush or roller working from the exterior inwards.
- Recoat in 6 hours and hard dry in 4 hours.
- It will achieve full hardness in 5-7 days.
Advice should be sought for coating new timber or pressure preservative treated timber.
